Just us

While Ryan, Joshua, Zoe and Chantal were just starting their teenage years, for another group of friends those years were nearly over.  Just the prom and graduation left, and then they would officially be young adults. But this prom tonight was something Seth, James, Daniel, Sarah and Jill were not looking forward to. Sure, Dan could dance with Sadie, but did you know The Hot Wings weren’t even allowed to play this year? Elliot had decided to hire a deejay and the boys were not amused. And then there was obviously the part where they would be a bunch of 19/20 year olds amidst lots of 12, 13 and 14 year olds. No, the prom wasn’t very appealing.

Screenshot-200

“So, why don’t we just, not go?” Sarah suggested. “I mean, it’s technically our last night as teens as we’ll graduate the next day. I for one would love to spend it with just us instead of at the lame prom. I was thinking, how about we just get together and camp out for the night?”

The others agreed with her and liked her idea of going camping together, although Daniel had to think of Sadie for a second. She wouldn’t be pleased having to spend her prom without him. But then again, she would probably understand, wouldn’t she?

Screenshot-201

“Ooooh!” Jill exclaimed, “You know what we should do then? We should go firewalking! I saw this documentary the other day about how in other cultures people go firewalking kind of like a ‘coming of age’ thing, like a rite of passage into adulthood. We should totally try that!”

The boys thought this whole “coming of age, rite of passage” mambo jambo was a bit out there, but walking on a bunch of hot coals did seem quite cool, so they agreed it would be kind of awesome.

Sarah and Jill told the boys they would take care of food for the night and went straight to Jill’s house to start cooking.
These two both love cooking and especially love cooking together. Their dream is to open a restaurant, or a bistro, or a pastry shop or any other food establishment together one day after university.cook

On his way to the woods where they would camp out, Daniel did stop by City Hall to see his girlfriend and wish her a great prom night. When he saw how beautiful she looked, he almost changed his mind.
Daniel had already called Sadie previously to explain the situation and while Sadie was of course understanding of him wanting to spent his last night as a teenager with his best friends, she also felt a bit sad since this would be her first prom with a boyfriend and now said boyfriend was not going…sorry I can't stay

While Sadie and Dan took their time for their goodbye, Rachel was getting agitated. Didn’t Sadie notice Finn was already going in?! She needed to be where Finn was so he could finally go ahead and start falling in love with her.

Screenshot-216

But Sadie and Dan were too caught up in each other to notice Finn.finn going in

Jill and Sarah had not only provided food for the night, they also brought along flowers and a bunch of christmas lights to hang between the trees and set the mood.
When Seth and James had made a fire and Daniel finally arrived too, it was time for some hamburgers and hotdogs!

Screenshot-222

The fire needed to be big, so James added a bit more wood.

Screenshot-223

After a couple of hours of laughter and chats, they decided the time had come for this whole “rite of passage” firewalking thing Jill had been talking about.

She explained to them how it worked. In foreign exotic cultures, the boy or girl on the verge of adulthood would take a walk across the burning coals whilst being encouraged by loved ones. If he or she would make it through to the end, the others would cheer and congratulate them and then they would be considered to be an adult.
Afterwards a change of clothes would be necessary, because the soot from the coals would really make your clothes quite dirty.
James was the first one brave enough to take a firewalk.James firewalk

Yay for James!
His sister went next! Sarah felt a bit scared at first, but pushed through and made it to the end.Sarah firewalk

Yay Sarah!
Then Daniel had a go. He too seemed a bit fearful…

Screenshot-230

But made it to the end very proudly!Dan firewalk

Yay Daniel!
Jill went next. She had no fear and had been looking forward to this.Jill firewalk

Yay Jill!
Then last but not least, Seth had his turn. The coals were very hot…Screenshot-247

…but he made it!Seth firewalk

Yay Seth!

After this event and a change of clothes, even the boys had to admit, this firewalking thing did indeed have an effect and they really felt they had now left their teenage years behind them.
Time for pie!

Screenshot-253

After which Daniel told a ghost story. Only Jill and James listened though, because Sarah and Seth had a private moment.

Screenshot-256

He loves her. 🙂

Screenshot-259

Soon, the two lovebirds joined their friends to listen to the story Dan was telling. It was pretty scary!Screenshot-261

After the story was over, Jill thought it would be funny to scare James a bit more.scare

It worked! And Seth thought that was pretty hilarious.

Screenshot-266

Sarah tossed a tube of something sparkly on the fire (no idea where she got that from, but okay…)

Screenshot-265

Then she tried to take a selfie with her boyfriend, but failed.

Screenshot-267

The next one, of all of them together, did turn out okay though.Screenshot-270

And this is the result!selfie

The had their private party for hours more, but around 4 they felt it was finally time to sleep, seeing how they did have a graduation to go to tomorrow. Jill went into a tent, but James and Daniel were tough and slept outside.

Screenshot-274

And Seth and Sarah… Well…

Screenshot-275

The next morning, Seth, Sarah, Jill and Daniel were all dressed and ready when James was still sleeping. He eventually woke up with a tan though!

Screenshot-277

Graduation

The graduation of this class 6 (yes, Suzan aged up too, after all she too is part of this class even if she’s not part of the group of friends), was the first graduating class under headmaster Elliot. And so, he got to hold his first graduation speech too. For the class of his own son. He felt pretty good about that.

Screenshot-279

Elliot, being a bit more modern than Alice had been, had also decided the cap and gown thing was no longer necessary and the ex-students could come in their own clothes.

He gave a good speech, although I’m not sure everyone is paying attention.
Oh, and do you see Patty there, front row? James and Sarah are graduating, which means that after 22 years (when Eva first started school), Patty will leave the parenting committee. Don’t tell her, but everyone at The Beehive, including her eldest daughter, is secretly glad to see her go. She was walking around school like she owned the place…Graduation speech

Final picture of the graduates!

We wish you the best of luck in your adult lives, darlings!

The Play

Four kids of Lucy‘s class 3 were to leave for high school after summer. Zoe, Chantal, Ryan and Joshua. Because they were leaving, they had rehearsed a play which they were going to perform for their families and the younger kids of The Beehive.

A stage had been set up and the audience was gathered.

Screenshot-90Lucy opened:

Screenshot-84

“Welcome parents, brothers, sisters, boys and girls to our play: The Chest. A play about a brother and sister called Leon and Lisa. Leon and Lisa are two ordinary city kids spending a summer day playing hide and seek with some friends. But when they run into an alley, they find something unexpected…”

Screenshot-96

“Leon… Look… A chest…”
“Yeah… That’s weird, what is it doing here?”
“I don’t know, but let’s get in, it’s a good hidingplace!”
….
“Look Lisa, there’s buttons inside! I’m going to press one!”
“Don’t! …”
“Too la… – woahhh, what’s happening!”
—Music plays—

Screenshot-102

“Leon! Where are we?!”
“It looks like… The Old West…”
“It can’t be! You mean… We travelled through time? In THAT?!”
“It would appear so…”
-“What are you folks doing here?”

Screenshot-106

“Umm…. Hello, I’m Leon and this my sister Lisa, we seem to umm… have lost our way…”
“Hello there Leon, I’m Bill and this is my sister Clara. Where are you from? You look strange!”
“Yeah… umm… it seems we have come from… umm.. the future, I guess…”
“THE FUTURE!?”
“Bill…We don’t have time for all this! We’re going to get in trouble if we don’t get all the hay scattered before sundown! And we’ve already lost too much time!”
“We can help!”

Screenshot-107

“So, how did you get here from the future?”
“My brother and I were playing and we stumbled upon that chest over there! we got in and pressed a button and then everything started spinning. When it stopped, we were here!”
“That’s impossible! We’ll have to see that to believe it, don’t we Clara?”
“Yes, we do! Time travel is not possible!”
“Come on Lisa, let’s show them.”

Screenshot-108

“So this is the chest”
“And all you do is get in and press a button?”
“Yes!”

Screenshot-110

“Bye bye, travel safe!”
— Music plays —

Screenshot-111

“Where are we now Lisa…? Do you know?”
“It all looks very industrial…”

Screenshot-113“I read about this! This must be Victorian times! We landed in the middle of the Industrial Revolution!”
“Wow Lisa, you’re so smart!”
“Look Leon, two kids!”

Screenshot-114

“Hi!”
“Good afternoon. Wow, you sure are dressed in peculiar attire, don’t you agree Thomas?”
“That’s because we traveled here from the future! I’m Lisa and this is my brother Leon!”
“From the FUTURE?! That’s simply impossible! Isn’t it Thomas?”
“I don’t know Matilda, strange things do happen. But we don’t have time for all this, we have to fix the steam machine”
“Oh, I can help with that! I’ve read all about it in my books! Just take that pin and put it there and it should work!”

Industrial

“Wow! It worked! Did you see that, Matilda?”
“That’s incredible! Maybe you are telling the truth about this timetravel…”
“Yes! We came here in that chest!”
“Wow, can you show us?”
“Sure”

Screenshot-121

“Can we try to get back home now Leon? I want to go home…”
“We can try…”
—Music plays—

Screenshot-122
“This is not home…”
“No… it seems we’ve gone a bit too far ahead in time…”
“I’m scared Leon, let’s try to go back!”
“Okay!”

“Umm… Lise… It’s not working anymore…
Screenshot-126

“Oh no! What are we going to do now!”

Screenshot-123

“Hello strangers, what seems to be the problem?”
“Oh… umm… hello… I’m Leon, this is Lisa, we umm… have come from the past, but our chest broke…”
“Your chest? You do your time traveling in a chest? Wow! I’m Romi, this is my brother Rogue by the way”

Screenshot-128

“Hey Leon, wanna know a secret…? We have different ways of time traveling here!”
“Really? You can get us back to our time?!”
“Sure, just walk through the portal!”

Screenshot-133—Music plays—

Screenshot-134
Leon! We’re back!”
Screenshot-136“We’re BACK!”

Screenshot-137

“Ladies and gentlemen! You’ve been watching Zoe as Clara, Matilda and Romi, Ryan as Bill, Thomas and Rogue and Joshua and Chantal as Leon and Lisa!”

Aww, well done kids!
The parents were very proud too!

well done

And Nick was proud of his mum!

Screenshot-160After their big performance, the stars deserved a nice piece of cake!Screenshot-140But before they had their cake, they needed to change out of their costumes (and look, they suddenly seem a bit older… 😉 )

new teens

Cake!

Screenshot-145

You did it guys, you’re no longer kids! Hope you have great teenage years!

Screenshot-158

There’s even more in…
part 3

***Note: I’ve been wanting to do an “end of primary school” play for a long time. In The Netherlands, where I live, it’s tradition for primary school children in their last year to perform a musical for their families upon leaving primary school.
I don’t really like how much older sim kids suddenly look when they turn into teens. I try to make them looking as much as 12 year olds as I can, but Ryan, like his sister Holly before him, immediately looked like he was 17. Chantal also looks more mature, but this is partly by choice, as I figured Chantal is the kind of girl who’d wear make up etc at a young age.***

June 05: Growing up (Part 1)

June in Honeycomb Valley was all about growing up. For some it even felt like the end of an era. And maybe it was…

Ethan

The first one to grow up this month was Ethan. Ben and Grace were happy they managed to complete everything regarding the move before Ethan’s birthday. They were also happy to have that big field outside their house where they could celebrate their son’s fifth birthday party.

Screenshot-170

They had invited all the neighbours and of course their friends and family.

Screenshot-171

Benjamin had to get out his guitar to set the mood. Morgan seemed to really love it!

Screenshot-172

Cake time!
Ethan five

Just like his sister last year, Ethan was allowed to put on his new birthday clothes after blowing out the candles. And they all had cake.

Screenshot-183

One of Ethan’s first actions as a five year old was hitting Chloe with a water balloon. Way to make friends Ethan! (She laughed about it 😉 )Screenshot-185

Isa had a present for  her brother. A wildflower she picked herself earlier that day. He was very happy with it.prezzie

Isa wanted to play catch with cousin Esme.Screenshot-192But Esme threw the ball so fast, it hit Isa in the face each time.

Screenshot-194

She then decided it would be better to play with her brother.

catch

The party on the field lasted all day. It was a lovely birthday.

Exams!

The end of the school year was fast approaching and with it came final exams for all students whom were leaving this year. Last year, only two students in class 6 had been old enough to leave high school, but this year, the entire class 6 would graduate

And final exams meant a LOT of studying!

Friends James, Sarah, Daniel, Jill and Seth had a study day in the park.

Screenshot-16They did get interrupted by a certain little girl though…

Screenshot-20

Ellie! You can walk ANYWHERE! Why choose this place exactly?! *Sigh*…

After some time though, they did take a study break.

take a break

They threw water balloons (it was really hot!) and tossed a ball around

Screenshot-31

Hopefully, after this day they were fully prepared, because only a few days later, exam time was upon them…

It was long and hard…

examsAnd this is what they scored*:

Daniel: 1417
James: 1685
Jill: 1521
Sarah: 1630
Seth: 2010
Suzan: 1358

* Read more about what their scores mean in my Education post here.

Seth did amazingly well! Suzan didn’t do too great… Although she technically scored enough to both graduate and go to University, being the granddaughter of ex-principal Alice, more was expected of her. But then again, Suzan never really took school very seriously and her goal was to just score enough points to get out of there. She missed her partner in crime, Anna, who would be -thank heavens- coming back to Honeycomb Valley this summer. Suzan had been part of her only little clique consisting of Wesley, Anna, Emmett and herself, but the others were all older and had left school in previous years. She totally did not fit in with this bunch…

***Note: a funny thing to mention is that all three “Hot Wings” boys scored full marks on the “arts” part of the test. Jill, who cooks a lot, also got full marks here and Sarah, who also cooks, scored 345 out of 400***

Last Day

While temperatures rose, the last day of the school year arrived. Last year, the kids of The Beehive had a party on the beach. This year they would have their celebration in the park again.

Screenshot-63

Ah! Look what we have here! Ellie’s favourite: apple bobbing!

Screenshot-52

Ellie was determined to win this year!

She was up against Nathan, Ruth and Riley.

Screenshot-56And….

Screenshot-60

Nope.
Keep trying EllieBellie!

It was a fun morning of playing.

Screenshot-75Nathan demonstrated his seesaw trick which he learnt in Sandy Valley last summer.

Screenshot-76

While his brother played on the bee riders with little Isa.

Screenshot-82

Megan and Liam had a water balloon fight!fight

The last day wasn’t just fun for the kids though, the teachers enjoyed themselves too! That’s it girls, never grow up!Screenshot-79Meanwhile, classmates Zoe and Chantal were talking. It was almost time for them to get changed into their costumes and they were both getting a bit nervous…

Screenshot-83

Oh, you’re wondering what they are so nervous for and why they had to change? Well, this is such a story, it required its own part of this story. And so, let’s read all about it in…

part 2

May 05: Changes (Part 2)

New Home

Isa couldn’t wait to see what her parents had made of the house and ran ahead as soon as the house came into view.

Screenshot-229

She was obviously happy to see her dad too, but she was mostly looking forward to seeing her new bedroom.

Screenshot-232

She soon got to see it, together with Ethan, because the kids would obviously have to share a room.
new roomI’m not sure what she thinks of it really, but I’m just going to assume she liked it.

Liam was also happy to see his dad again.

Screenshot-239

And Liam too got to check out his bedroom.

Screenshot-243

While Grace had picked Ethan up from Julliet‘s toyshop, Naomi had made other arrangements. Since Donna was curious to see the house too, she had told Naomi and Colin she would bring Isla and Prince by later that afternoon.

However, as Donna was getting ready to leave, she suddenly saw Prince had FLEAS! Thinking he must’ve gotten them from Pebbles, she couldn’t bring him back to her son and daughter-in-law’s new home all covered in fleas! So, she gave Prince a bath first. Thankfully he didn’t put up a fight.

Screenshot-191

And so, an hour later than planned, Donna arrived with Isla and Prince.

Screenshot-244

Colin was happy to see his daughter again.

Screenshot-247

As was Naomi.

Screenshot-250

And Liam was just pleased to have Prince back, even though he had seen him that morning…

Screenshot-252

Colin asked his mother if she wanted to stay for dinner, and Donna happily agreed.
Naomi chatted with her mother-in-law, while Colin made salad.

Screenshot-255

First dinner in the new house!

Screenshot-259

After dinner, Liam had to start getting ready for bed. (Isla was already sleeping)

Screenshot-261

Meanwhile, Colin and Naomi told Donna all about their busy moving day. They were happy tomorrow would be a saturday!

Screenshot-265

After Donna had left, Naomi read her son a bedtime story. Hopefully he would sleep well in his new bed.Screenshot-267

When both kids were asleep, Colin and Naomi finally had a moment to themselves.

Screenshot-268

Across the field, Isa was drifting off to dreamland as well. Finally, all the residents of The Greenery were home.bedtime story

First Morning

The next morning, the Anderson family had their first breakfast together in their new home. Isa had slept well, and Ethan was still asleep! It must be the peace and quiet there…

Screenshot-273

The Mason family also had their first breakfast and Liam was already thinking of playing on the field with Isa later.

Screenshot-280

Morgan was up too. Very alert of every little out-of-the-ordinary feeling in her body, although she knew it was still too soon to tell. At least she too slept well in her new home.

goodmorning

As soon as he was dressed and ready, Liam did go over to Isa’s . Both kids were happy to find out their classmates, the Knight triplets, were visiting the eco supermarket with their parents this saturday morning and were obviously very curious to see where their friends were living.

Screenshot-282

Liam and Isa showed them around. They visited the cows and The Field.

Screenshot-283

And ended up playing here together for most of the day.tag

If you, like the Knight triplets, are also curious about The Greenery, you can now tour it here. From there on out you can also visit the houses where these families now live and see what they made of it, with lots of stuff and little room! The houses can also be visited through their personal pages.

Schoolpictures

A few weeks later, it was schoolpicture time at The Beehive! The pictures in the hallways needed to be changed again.
Gareth took his job very seriously as per usual.
The kids had their pictures taken in their own classrooms, the teens had their pictures taken in the cafeteria in front of the clock wall.

Screenshot-296And here are the results.

Have you met my dog?

There was a big change for Riley too! Although, this change actually already happened in February, but hey.
In February, Riley’s aunt Abigail went to Sandy Valley for “Le Bal Masqué“. She didn’t pick up any gorgeous bachelors, but while she was in Sandy Valley, she did find out the Desfranges family had puppies up for adoption. Knowing how much her nephew had been wanting a pet, she decided to bring him a puppy. Her sister was less pleased, but couldn’t say no when she saw how happy Riley was.
And so, little, hyperactive Trognon was added to the Chapman family. But since Riley couldn’t pronounce his name, he changed it to PomPom.
These two are having a blast together!

have you met my dog

Riley isn’t the only one in the family in love with Pom though. The little one already knows how to use his cuteness to his advantage with the big boss too.

Put on your saddest puppy face…

….aaaand SUCCESS!

Screenshot-326

And then there’s a fun squeaky chew bone for you too!

Screenshot-331

It’s a good life…

Wildlife Education

Earlier this spring, some changes had been made to Honeycomb Valley’s Central Park as part of mayor Newman‘s project “Greenify Honeycomb Valley”. One of the things that had been added was a Wildlife Education Center where teachers or other educational professionals could come and bring children to teach them all about wildlife in and around parks.
Naomi, being all about nature, was the first one to bring her class to the park for a lesson during the last week of May.

Screenshot-338

First, the kids sat down on the benches under the tree where Naomi explained what they would be doing today.

Screenshot-339

The kids were told to go look for a creature in pairs. It could be a bug, it could be a rodent. If possible, they were allowed to catch it (under supervision) and take it inside where they would study it. At the end of the afternoon, all creatures would be released back into the park.

Nathan and Riley immediately started crawling under bushes…

Screenshot-340

…while Ruth and Nick discussed a strategy first.

Screenshot-343

In the end, only Nathan and Riley had found a ladybird, but fortunately a chipmunk and an iguana were already available for study in the wildlife center.

education

After studying the animals for a while and taking notes, miss Naomi called her class together to tell them about ants.
The kids were fascinated to see the work the ants did underground.

Screenshot-356

After they had learnt about ants, they were left to their own devices for a while.
Apparently a sleeping chipmunk was very funny to Ruth and Nick…

Screenshot-358

The Moment of Truth

Morgan had been good. She had waited the full two weeks before taking a pregnancy test, but today the moment of truth was finally upon her…

positive

POSITIVE! She was actually pregnant! After only one try! Wow! She could hardly believe it!
Of course she immediately called David and Bradley and then her brother.

Screenshot-336

Congratulations Morgan! I’m sure you’ll be a great mum!
And with Morgan’s happy news, May had come to an end. The busy month of June was around the corner. Why June was so busy? That’s a story for another time.

***Note: I have quite a strict policy about using poses for my sims. I don’t mind posing them for things for which I personally would pose too. And by that I mean, having their picture taken. When you have your picture taken, you strike a pose. Most of the time anyway. So, I have no problem putting my sims in poses for schoolpictures, weddingpictures, portraits etc. However, when I play, I play. I don’t play to write a story, I write a story about what I played. Therefore I don’t like posing my sims for storytelling purposes. I once posed a childbirth that way and ended up not using the pictures, because I felt it “didn’t actually happen that way”. I was moving “statues”. It felt wrong. And so, my no-poses-unless-they’re-having-their-picture-taken policy was born.
But as you can see, this time I’ve made an exception. The pregnancy test poses were so PERFECT for Morgan, as there is no action or animation in game which quite shows the tension and excitement that come with taking a pregnancy test when you really want to be pregnant. These poses did show that and therefore I’ve made an exception to my rule. Just this once. For Morgan.***

May 05: Changes (Part 1)

May arrived in Honeycomb Valley and with it came changes. Some big, some small, but things certainly changed for many of Honeycomb Valley’s residents…

Moving Day

In April, The Anderson family signed the contracts which made them the owners of a small little house in The Greenery, Honeycomb Valley’s new, eco friendly district. Now that May had come around, moving day was upon them. The kids were staying at aunt Julliet‘s house until tomorrow, so Benjamin and Grace could really get some work done.

The movers arrived early that morning and soon everything was loaded in the truck and they were ready to go.

Screenshot-29

Ben and Grace weren’t the only ones moving into their Greenery house today. For Colin and Naomi it was moving day as well. And wow, did they have a lot of stuff!Screenshot-25

They knew a lot of it would have to be sold or given away once they were done. That’s what you get when you move from a big house into a small one…

Screenshot-37

***Note: For both the Anderson and the Mason family, I had moved all of their furniture from their old homes into the family inventory and challenged myself to decorate their new homes using their old furniture and only buying the minimum amount of new stuff (some shelves here and there, mostly). It was a challenge, especially with these houses being so tiny, but I had a blast decorating this way! ***

Soon, both families were well on their way getting their new homes organised.

Screenshot-42

Around noon, the hard workers decided to have a picnic together on the field.

picnic

While discussing their progress, Naomi and Grace realised they both needed some stuff. Naomi needed to get a bed for Liam (Liam used to have a double bed in the old house and there was no way that would fit), Grace needed a rug for the living room and they both needed some shelves. So, the girls decided to go to Ikea together, while the men continued in the homes.

After a few hours, the ladies came back with a van they rented at Ikea.

Screenshot-56

Grace stopped by Naomi and Colin’s house to see how they were getting on.
There was still a lot to do…

Screenshot-58

But when evening fell, both families had made a lot of progress. Benjamin and Grace invited Colin and Naomi over to have some spaghetti.
Screenshot-59

It was delicious!

Screenshot-62

While their parents worked, Liam, Isla and cat Prince were staying with grandma Donna, who was loving having her grandkids over!

Screenshot-65

Liam loved it too. At least here at grandma’s he was allowed to have a jam sandwich for dinner!

Screenshot-68

And after dinner, he could have a bath for as long as he wanted!

Screenshot-71

He could even splash!bathtime

Meanwhile, Isla was already sound asleep.Screenshot-79

Isa and Ethan were also having fun with cousins Sadie and Esme (although I’m not sure what Esme and Isa are watching…)
Sadie is always playing with her cousins when she’s with them!Cousins staying over

Aunt Julliet was still at her toyshop, but the rest of the family had sushi for dinner!

Screenshot-87

Isa proved to be the perfect houseguest, because she did the washing up completely autonomously!

Screenshot-93

Esme took Ethan to bed. (In a very undecorated guestroom – the Stevens family is in the process of remodeling their home)

Screenshot-96

Then the girls of the family had a little dance together!

Screenshot-99

Goodmorning!

The sun rose early the following morning, it was clear summer was approaching. Before the new residents of The Greenery were up though, there was another guest on The Field…

Screenshot-103

If you thought we were missing a resident on moving day, you are right! Morgan had not been there the previous day because she had other business to attend to. And her house was all done already anyway. But this morning, Morgan arrived too.Screenshot-161

The previous day had been a rather important one for Morgan. Let’s have a little flashback…

Morgan’s Day

While Ben, Grace, Colin and Naomi were hard at work in their new houses, Morgan was at the hospital. Today was THE day. The day Dr. Harvey would, hopefully, help her get pregnant. Morgan was in the waiting room -much too early- waiting rather nervously for David and Bradley to arrive.

There was another woman waiting there as well, who started to speak to Morgan.

baby friends

“Do you have an appointment with Dr. Harvey as well?”
– “Yes, but don’t worry, I’m just very early, I guess your appointment is before mine”
“Oh good, haha, I was worried he might be running late and I need to go to work soon”
– “No no, I’m really just early! I was too nervous to wait any longer…”
“Haha, I know, all this being pregnant business is quite nervewracking, isn’t it?”
– “Oh, I’m not pregnant yet, but I hope to be after today… How far along are you, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“Just about 6 weeks, this is my first check up. My boyfriend should be here shortly, but he insisted on coming on his horse and now he obviously can’t find a place to leave him…* He’s quite young and naive… Is your umm… partner around too?”
– “No. Or actually, I don’t have a partner. I’m going to be a single mum. I did find two great men who are willing to help me with this and be part time dads though!  I found the love of my life when I was really young, but sadly, I lost him… Ever since then, things just haven’t been the same. And now I’m 35. Before you know it I’ll be 40! It was now or never, really…”
“Oh! I understand! BELIEVE me, I do.We’re not getting any younger, right! If I hadn’t met Luke, I would probably have done the same thing! I’m Susannah, by the way, but everyone calls me Susie.”
– “Nice to meet you Susie, I’m Morgan.”

Friendship established.

When Susie had left, it was Morgan’s turn, even though the boys weren’t there yet. Aaron discussed the procedure with her.

Thankfully, they soon arrived and Aaron also explained to the boys what David’s part in all this would be. (Although, that seems pretty straight forward if you ask me…)

And then it was Morgan’s turn to go in…

After that, it was two weeks of waiting… Fingers crossed!

Back to The Greenery

So, that had been Morgan’s day. But now she too had arrived at her new house. By this time, her neighbours were already up too. Grace was already hanging the laundry out to dry.

That afternoon, both Naomi and Grace were happy they would get to see their kids again. Naomi arrived at school before the bell rang.

There he was! Hi Liam! Mummy missed you!mother-son reunion

Grace had picked up Ethan from Julliet’s shop first, so she was a bit late. Isa didn’t mind though, she played in the playhouse until her mum arrived.

But she too was happy to see her mum again!

Both Liam and Isa were very eager to see their new homes!

See what they think in…

*Luke actually DID go to the hospital on his horse. Because he was taking forever and I wanted him to get a move on, I decided to teleport him in. Little did I know that when you teleport a sim who’s on a horse, the horse is teleporting too… Result:

And this is on the second floor… Oops…

The Greenery

Screenshot-64What is it?
Honeycomb Valley’s green, eco friendly district. No cars are allowed. There are three residential lots here and four community lots. Each lot serves an eco friendly purpose.

The Entrance

At the entrance of The Greenery, there’s a creek. Two bridges go over it, but these aren’t wide enough for vehicles. This way it is ensured no cars enter The Greenery.

Isa and Ethan’s room

Since Ethan and Isa are less than a year apart in age, and get along fine, their parents saw no harm in them sharing a room. Isa disagrees, but mostly because she wanted a pink room. She still got some pink though…
