This Sim has moved away from Honeycomb Valley

Movingdate: February 05
Reason for moving: She got married to Ben Brown from Bonnie Brae and moved to live there with him in the cutest house imaginable. We’ll see her again from time to time.

————————————————————————–

Rebecca Edwards is a kind and shy girl. As a child and a teen, she helped out her mum around the house where she could. Being the eldest, this had always been her job. Rebecca always hated school, so was happy to leave the moment she became 18 and school was no longer mandatory. Rebecca met her first and only love at 18 and was married 5 months later.

part 1

There she is…

Screenshot-226

Rebecca felt very nervous as she walked down the aisle with her father…Screenshot-228

But Ben was happy to see her, and before long it was time for rings and those two words Rebecca had been rehearsing her entire life: I do.I do

And thus, Ben and Rebecca were married! Hooray!

Screenshot-236

After the official part it was time for pictures.
With the parents and the flowergirls…

parents and flowergirls

And with both sets of families…Families

Then both families headed to the Edwards’ house for the reception.
First order of business was the cutting of the wedding cake!cake

Flowergirls Bethany and Ruth were the first to grab a slice. After all, this was a little bit THEIR day as well.

first ones to the cake

Becca got a hug from her sister-in-law Edith. When she visited Bonnie Brae, Rebecca stayed with Edith and the two were already quite close.

Screenshot-263

Martha needed some wine to get through the rest of this day.

Screenshot-271

Rebecca still couldn’t believe she was married!

Screenshot-274

Ruth and Bethany really got along great, I think there’s friendship for life between this two!bff

When it got later, the two had to say goodbye though, as Bethany and her mum still had something else to do that evening.

Screenshot-278

After changing into their regular clothes at the hostel, Bethany and Edith stopped by the Knight household. Edith had seen an ad in the supermarket earlier that week saying this family had kittens up for adoption and she and her daughter really wanted to take one home to Bonnie Brae. They chose Snap and both Edith and Bethany couldn’t be happier.kitty

Meanwhile, the rest of the Brown family, including Ben and Rebecca had arrived back at the hostel too. Ben and Rebecca got the Turquoise Room for their wedding night. It isn’t a fancy room in a fancy hotel, but at least it’s private.

This was the part of getting married Rebecca had been dreading… A wedding night meant… well…

Screenshot-279

She retreated into the bathroom to get changed and came out wearing what she felt was already quite a revealing nightgown. Bare arms and all that…change for the night

Her husband told her she looked beautiful

Screenshot-283

And soon started to tickle her to make her laugh. It worked, but Becca was still nervous.frisky

As they settled onto the bed, it became clear that although Rebecca might have been dreading this part of the wedding, this was the bit Ben had been looking forward to…

Screenshot-290

Goodnight Mr. and Mrs. Brown…the night

Bye Bye Becca

Veryyyy early the next morning, the two families met at the busstation again. It was time to say goodbye. Goodbye to Rebecca.

bye my family

Bethany and Ruth also said their goodbyes and Bethany promised Ruth could visit her sometime soon.

Screenshot-301

And then the bus left and Becca waved goodbye to her family. Amy was sad…

Screenshot-306

And so Rebecca waved to her family as they faded in the distance…fadingBye bye Becca, I’m sure you’ll be very happy in Bonnie Brae and we’ll see you again soon!

February 05: I Do (Pt. 1)

A lot happened in Honeycomb Valley in February, but the biggest event had to be THE wedding. No no, it wasn’t any type of royal wedding, or even a wedding of a VIS (Very Important Sim), but it was a wedding two big families in two different towns had been waiting for: the wedding of Ben Brown and Rebecca Edwards…

Leading Up to the Wedding

About a week before her big day, Rebecca was admiring the weddingpicture of her parents when she was joined by Martha.

Screenshot-38

“Doesn’t mother look beautiful, Martha? I’m so happy I can wear her dress to my wedding…”

Martha thought this remark was very funny.

Screenshot-40

“You’ve GOT to be kidding me, Becks, you’re actually HAPPY you get to wear that thing?!”

Rebecca had no time to worry about her sister’s opinion, because she had to be at the busstation. The bus from Bonnie Brae* was about to arrive!

***Note: Bonnie Brae is my mum’s town and Ben and his family are her sims, which she created. It was a lot of fun to have them in Honeycomb Valley for a while!***

Screenshot-46

And after the other bus had left, the bus from Bonnie Brae rolled into the busstation. There they were: Ben’s entire family.
It was a big bunch. Ben being the youngest child of Jeremiah and Agatha Brown meant he already had 3 siblings (a sister and two brothers) who all had spouses and children.

Arrivals from BB

After hellos and introductions to Rebecca and her parents, the Brown family went to the Rainbow Hostel (not too fancy and therefore, not too expensive) where they’d be staying until after the wedding.

Screenshot-57

Ben however, quickly left after dropping off his luggage for a date with his fiancée.
Coming from a small town, Ben is not used to public transportation, and most certainly not to underground systems. He had to try it!
Metro

Rebecca was already waiting for Ben at the Aquarium.Screenshot-68

Ben was so happy to see her, he immediately offered her some flowers he picked up on the way.

Screenshot-70

Once inside, the stared at the fishies together for a while. Rebecca was stunned to see robot fish in the aquarium.
Fishies

Ben just thought she was cute and proceeded to tell her so.

Screenshot-79

And then he made a really bold move…

Screenshot-80

Wow, Rebecca’s first kiss! She seems to have enjoyed that.

Screenshot-81

They went on the have a bite to eat at the restaurant downstairs.

Screenshot-83

After a fun day with Rebecca, Ben went back to his family and picked up some food for them too. The hostel doesn’t have a restaurant, but it does have a breakfast/lunch/dinner room with a small kitchen unit where you can make yourself some breakfast or enjoy food you picked up at a take away. Which is what the Brown family did.family hostel meal

After the meal, everyone retired to their rooms. Jeremiah and Agatha got the Purple Room, a private room, while the men stayed in the Red Room, a dorm for ten people and the women and youngest children got the Orange Room, also a dorm for ten people, where some toddler travel beds had been placed for the little ones. Exciting times lay ahead!

Screenshot-103

Ben and Becca’s Weddingday

On the morning of Ben and Becca’s wedding, Ben’s sister Edith and her husband Caleb were the first to have breakfast.

Screenshot-118

Thanks to this, their children were the first to be ready too. Ben’s niece Bethany was going to be a flowergirl along with Rebecca’s youngest sister Ruth and she was so excited! To kill time she played a bit of peek-a-boo with her sister Matilda. Screenshot-121

Which she continued to do when her parents and brother were also dressed and they had to wait in the lobby for the rest of the family to get ready.

Screenshot-123

Pretty soon, Ben’s brother Paul and his wife Fiona and their daughter Gillian were also ready to go.

Screenshot-125

The groom himself was feeling a bit nervous and gave his reflection a pep talk. Screenshot-132

Eventually the whole family was ready!

Screenshot-134

At the Edwards household meanwhile, the mood wasn’t too pleasant… Father John did NOT approve of Martha’s choice of clothes to wear to the wedding…

you're not wearing that

“What in the WORLD are you thinking, Martha! An outfit like that to your sister’s wedding! What will people think if a daughter of mine shows up wearing next to NOTHING!? You’re going to change, RIGHT NOW!”

But Martha just laughed in her dad’s face.

Screenshot-143

“Wow dad, take a chill pill. I like this outfit, it looks stunning on me, so I’m wearing it, whether you like it or not. Besides, Becca is covering enough skin for the both of us, hahaha!”

Oooo Martha, I’m not sure that was a wise move… I suspect John let it slide because he didn’t want to ruin Rebecca’s day, but I’m sure the last word has not been said about this…

Meanwhile Rebecca was upstairs changing into her dress. Yes, it used be her mother’s but now it was HER dress. She couldn’t be happier.

Screenshot-146

Amy was moved when she saw her daughter in her wedding dress. Martha may not like the dress, but Amy felt Rebecca looked gorgeous!mother of the bride

Then the bride went downstairs to be admired by the rest of her family (with the exception of Martha, obviously)

Screenshot-151

Upon arrival at the church, the flowergirls were happy to meet each other.

Screenshot-221

And when everyone, including the groom, had found their place, the ceremony could begin…Guests all in place

December 04: Merry Christmas… (Pt. 2)

Click to go back to…
part 1

Two days until Christmas…

The Christmas holidays had started and with only two days to go until Christmas, Joel decide to check out Winter Wonderland, a place in town only for the winter, and entirely devoted to winter fun like snowboarding and ice skating.

Screenshot-29

Joel loved snowboarding! Even though he fell a few times, he always got up to try again.board

After a while, his father Kai came to see how his son was doing. He felt very proud indeed!that's my boy

All this snowboarding sure is chilly, so Kai and Joel sat down for a nice cup of hot chocolate and a warm snack, provided by student Mia who was hired for the holidays.

Screenshot-40

It soon got busier. Even Olivia tried on some skates, which is remarkable, since she’s the biggest couch potato in town.mother son

And look who we have here! Chloé was over from Sandy Valley once more to visit her friend Sophie for Christmas.

Screenshot-44

The girls tried to skate too, and even felt they could do a spin together!skate

Hmm… I guess you better work on that some more, girls…

ouch

They then decided to give up on skating and have a bagel instead!

that's better

It’s Christmas!

On the morning of Christmas day, Donna got up early to prepare a lovely Christmas dinner. Her son, Colin, along with Naomi, Liam and Isla would be visiting later that day.

Screenshot-121

Around noon, they arrived. First they had some tea and cookies…

Screenshot-125

…and then it was time for presents!!prezzies

Everyone loved what they got. After presents though, Colin said he wasn’t feeling well and that he was going to go home. Naomi argued for a bit about how he couldn’t do that, his mother went through so much trouble! But Colin left anyway.*

So, Naomi, Liam and Donna enjoyed the meal of soup and pumpkin pie without Colin.

*What really happened was that Colin kept getting a script error and was thus reset. I tried to get him to his mother’s again, but he just wouldn’t show up. Sims..

food

Of course little Isla wasn’t forgotten, she enjoyed being with her grandmother very much too.

Screenshot-143

In the evening, the bells of St. Clifton Church rang; it was time for Christmas mass.

Screenshot-181

It was very busy! Honeycomb Valley doesn’t have many religious residents, but even many non religious ones enjoy the Christmas mass. The lights, the singing…
mass

Charlotte and Aaron found a little private moment before the mass began…

Screenshot-147

Of course the Edwards family occupied the first rows, joined by Ben, who came over from Bonnie Brae to celebrate Christmas with the Edwards.

Screenshot-153

Even the balconies were full…

Screenshot-154

The Cook/Watson/Bennett family occupying a whole balcony. Even Nathan was sitting still!

Screenshot-157

Of course, mayor Henry and his wife Jacqueline were also present.

Screenshot-162

John led them all in song.

Screenshot-165

The Chapman family, and Lillian‘s sister Abigail couldn’t find a seat anymore, so they were left to stand.

Screenshot-174

And then there’s always a few people who can’t stop chatting…

Screenshot-175

After the mass was over, Ben went up to John to thank him for a beautiful service.

Screenshot-177

One day after Christmas…

We stay with the Edwards family a while longer, because the day after Christmas Ben was visiting their home. He had something to ask John…

Screenshot-191

He was quite nervous to ask this question…asking father

…but the answer pleased him to no end!

Screenshot-203

After asking her father, it was time to ask Rebecca that all important question. John called the whole family to witness this joyous event…

Screenshot-212

Martha made no effort to hide the fact she thought this whole charade was ridiculous!

Screenshot-217

Rebecca though, couldn’t be happier, and hugged her fiance tightly!

Screenshot-222

And so Christmas was over, but 04 was not! New Years Eve was still to come! But more on that next time…

A note about Ben and Rebecca
Ben and Rebecca have only known each other for 2 months. Normally, I would never engage two Sims this quickly. But since John picked Ben with the intention of him being a match for Rebecca and I felt that in Rebecca’s case “dating” would simply not happen, it only seemed appropriate for them to get engaged. Whenever two sims of mine got engaged before though, the one being asked would be over the moon and jump into their fiance’s arms. I had already decided to ignore it when Rebecca would do this, because I didn’t feel it would fit her. But, to my surprise, she didn’t! She just hugged him tightly! They didn’t even kiss! Since they indeed haven’t yet shared that first kiss, I loved this! This was so appropriate for them!

November 04: Courtship (Part 1)

You’d think early spring would be the designated time for blooming love, wouldn’t you? Well, it seems for the Sims of Honeycomb Valley, this time was November. Although, in some cases I guess it’s more lust than love and in others the feelings seem to be very one-sided. And then there’s that one couple, in which case we really can call it a courtship… Curious yet? You’ll have to wait just a bit longer, because the first event of SimNovember had nothing what so ever to do with courtship…

Valerie

It may not have had anything to do with courtship, but it did involve love. Two parents loving their daughter. Their one year old daughter to be precise. It was Valerie’s first birthday!

The whole family came over to celebrate Valerie’s first. Evelyn seems much happier about her child’s first birthday than her sister was 2 months ago.

she's one!

After blowing out the candles and unwrapping the presents, the family had cake, while cousins Valerie and Vicky played with play dough. Awww, Justin, I can already see it happening… The girls sticking together and Justin being left out…cousins

Of course, cousin Ellie wouldn’t be Ellie if she didn’t get up to some mischief!
(Ellie started to destroy the pumpkin completely autonomously! It made me laugh. So typically Ellie…)

Screenshot-18

This made no difference to Valerie, who had a great birthday either way!

Luke

Two weeks had passed since that night Luke spent with Susie on the roof, and even though he couldn’t stop thinking of her while going about his daily business, he hadn’t heard from her since and kept wondering if he’d made a big mistake by kissing her…

Screenshot-144

He had sent her a few texts to ask her how she was doing and avoided talking about that kiss. But even a simple “how was work today? :)” didn’t get a reply.

Screenshot-143

He asked Boy for advice.
“What do you think I should do? Should I just try and forget about her? Or should I apologise for kissing her? I still really like her, you know…”
Boy just licked his face in response.

Boy talk

Because talking to Boy didn’t get him a lot of answers, Luke decided to ask Kyra after a rainy riding lesson how her aunt was doing.
“She’s alright,” Kyra said. “She seems a bit distracted lately, but I guess she’s fine.”

Screenshot-175

Little did Luke know that Susie had actually spent all her time thinking about that night too. She tried to distract herself by reading and drawing, but it didn’t really work. She got Luke’s texts but couldn’t bring herself to respond to them.
“He’s too young Suse,” she told herself. “It’ll only lead to another broken heart…”

Screenshot-142
Rebecca

Hey, look who it is, Amy and John with their eldest and youngest child at the busstop. And with a suitcase even! Rebecca was leaving  for a few days. She was going to visit Ben in his hometown of Bonnie Brae. Of course she wouldn’t technically be staying with Ben! Heavens no, an unmarried woman staying with an unmarried man? No no, John would never allow it and the thought alone made Becca much too scared. She was going to stay with Ben’s eldest sibling; his sister Edith and her family.
(Lucy was at the busstation too, to pick up Nathan, who returned from a brilliant stay with his friend KamKam in Krampouezh. Read all about that here!)

Screenshot-41
After a busride, a change from bus to train in Bridgeport (such an awful place, according to Rebecca) and a few more hours on the train, Rebecca arrived in rainy Bonnie Brae*.

Screenshot-42

Rebecca’s train was early, so she had to wait a while before Ben and his family arrived. He had brought his parents and Edith with her youngest daughter Matilda.ArrivalRebecca, Ben, Edith and Matilda took a taxi to Edith’s house.

Screenshot-50
Rebecca was immediately very impressed by Edith’s house. it felt so warm and cozy! Oh to have a home like this…

Screenshot-52
Edith served some coffee and homemade pies and the three adults sat down so Becca and Edith could get better acquainted. coffee
After coffee, Edith gave her guest a tour of the house. First stop: the guestroom, or, for now, Becca’s room! Rebecca could hardly believe it! Her own room! She hadn’t had a room to herself since she was three and Martha was born! And it got even better still, because this room had its very own bathroom!
After showing Rebecca the room she’d be staying in, Edith took her upstairs to show her the rest of the house. Rebecca loved every corner of it, but was most impressed by the bedroom where Edith’s daughter Bethany and Matilda slept. Oh, she couldn’t wait to create a room like that for her own children!roomBen had borrowed his dad’s car and took Rebecca out to see the town.
They stopped at the local pub; The Shepherd and Flock.
ride

Here, Rebecca met pub owner Hailey who called her “love” and asked her about life “in the city”. Hayley
It was still early, so there weren’t a lot of customers yet. Ben showed Rebecca how to throw darts.
Screenshot-73
Rebecca never liked going out in Honeycomb Valley, but this place sure was lovely.
Screenshot-77
After an hour or so at the pub, Ben told Rebecca he had another place to show her. They got back in the car and drove to a hill. At the top of that hill, a gorgeous little house was situated.
“This will be my house”, Ben said. “My grandfather used to own a lot of land in Bonnie Brae and he left this house to me.
Becca was speechless. To live in a house like this was something she had always secretly dreamt of…House on the hill
When they returned, Edith was making dinner. Her two eldest children, 7 year old Bethany and 5 year old Ewan, had arrived home as well, as had their dad, Caleb, who was the local grocer.
Rebecca first felt a bit shy in the midst of all these new people, but the anxiety soon settled when they all turned out to be really nice.familylife
Edith had cooked salmon and made pumpkin pie for dessert. It was lovely.

dinnertime

After dinner it was time for Ben and Rebecca to say goodbye, as Ben would obviously be sleeping at home, with his parents.
When they were hugging goodbye, Ben whispered to Becca; “I really like you, you’re very sweet.” Rebecca couldn’t be happier.he likes herThe next morning, the family had breakfast, just before Caleb went to his grocery store.

Screenshot-97
After Bethany and Ewan had also left for school, Rebecca helped Edith in the garden.

Screenshot-101

When Ben came over to pick her up, they decided to visit Caleb’s grocery store.grocer

And then went to the monument.

Screenshot-113

Rebecca felt sure she could get used to this place (and this boy 😉 )!

Screenshot-116

The next day marked the last day of Rebecca’s stay. Edith and Ben had organised a family gathering in the park so Rebecca could meet Ben’s brothers and their wives and kids.

She met Paul and his wife Fiona (who’s very modern, look, she’s wearing trousers instead of skirts!) and Peter and his wife Maggie.meeting the family

They had a great day, luckily the weather was cooperative! gathering

The many toddlers of the family had fun too!

Screenshot-120

That evening it was time for Rebecca to return home. Ben, Edith, Bethany, Ewan and Matilda took her to the station.

Screenshot-131

Bye bye Matilda!Bye bye matilda

Bye Bethany and Ewan! Bye Edith, thanks for everything!Bye bye kids and Edith

Then Edith and her kids left, giving Ben and Becca a final moment alone.

Screenshot-139

Ben hugged Rebecca goodbye and promised to visit her again very soon!Bye bye Ben

Though Ben’s courtship of Rebecca was the best example of courtship of the month, he wasn’t the only one trying to get the girl…

* About Bonnie Brae
Bonnie Brae is my mum’s town. It’s an adapted version of the gorgeous Glen Donnach, which can be downloaded here. Bonnie Brae is a small village in the country where time sort of stood still. Most of its residents are religious (to various degrees) and a bit (or more than a bit) old-fashioned. Obviously this is a place where our Becca feels right at home!
Most of the houses and buildings in Bonnie Brae came with the town, but the pub and grocery store featured in this story were built and decorated by my mum. The house on the hill is built by me and my mum did the landscaping for it. Edith’s house was already there, but I changed the layout a bit and decorated it, after which my mum added a few details.
She’s still very much building the town up and changing little things to her liking, so who knows, maybe there will be much more to see next time we visit.

October 04: Is it Scary…? (Part 1)

There’s many scary moments in life; Leaving high school, meeting the guy you might marry, a first date, telling someone how you feel about them, your first driving lesson, taking things to the next level with your boyfriend, and, of course, the great October festival that is Halloween. October in Honeycomb Valley involved all of these scary things. Let’s start at the beginning…

Rebecca

You wouldn’t know by the way Rebecca prepared the family breakfast that morning that this was actually a very special day for her: Today was Rebecca’s 18th birthday. Even more special was the fact that today would be Rebecca’s last ever day of school. According to the Honeycomb Valley school system, children and teens are required to attend school until the age of 18. Once they turn 18, school is no longer mandatory, although you don’t get to officially graduate until 20.
However, Rebecca’s parents felt that a woman’s place is in the home, not in school, so it was decided Rebecca would leave school the day she turned 18. Since Rebecca never really enjoyed school, she didn’t mind this decision at all and actually felt quite happy that morning making her family breakfast.

Breakfast

After the 6 eldest children of the Edwards family had left for school, Amy and John sat down and waited for their guests to arrive.  John’s friend, fellow vicar Jeremiah Brown from the town of Bonnie Brae was to come and visit with his wife Agatha and their youngest son, the 19 year old Ben…

Screenshot-5

And there they were!

The Browns

If you think this visit was a mere social call, you’re mistaken… John and Amy wanted to meet Ben, because John felt this would be a suitable match for his eldest daughter. After all, a grown woman should marry and produce offspring and naturally the spouse needed to be someone John approved of…
Now, he wouldn’t force Rebecca to marry Ben, that would be old fashioned. But at least he did his job of finding her a suitable option.

Screenshot-16

Amy would never tell John this, but she cared more about whether Ben was a nice guy than whether he was “God fearing”. So while John was discussing the church with Jeremiah and Agatha, Amy took her possible future son in law apart to get to know him a bit better.heart to heart

It turned out Ben was indeed a nice guy and Amy felt reassured.

At 15:00 that afternoon, John headed to school to pick up his daughter and officially take her out of school. Elliot said he was sad to see her go, although I think he actually had seen this coming…byebye school

After this official business, John and Rebecca went home where the whole family celebrated her 18th birthday. Happy birthday Rebecca! You’re an adult now! It’s scary, but lots of people do it every day!

Screenshot-81

We’ll check back with the Edwards family later!

Luke

Rebecca wasn’t the only one having a birthday this October. Luke also got a year older. With all the work at the ranch, he didn’t have time for a big party, but there was one person he wanted to ask for a cup of birthday coffee… So, he sent her a text…
Luke's text

The recipient of said text was just having a cup of tea on the rooftop terrace with her mother…

Screenshot-33

Nancy, wondering what made her daughter smile like that, curiously asked Susie what that text was all about. “Oh, it’s Luke”, Susie said. “He wants me to come for a cup of coffee since it’s his birthday soon… I think he likes me…”Receiving the text

“He’s Kyra’s riding teacher, isn’t he?” Nancy said. “You’re lucky, Suse, he’s a very nice guy!” But Susie wanted none of that.
“Mum! He’s much too young for me, he’s only just 20 (he’s 24…) and I’m nearly 40! (she’s 35..)

20 and 40

“There is absolutely no way, mum, no way.”no way

Her mother disagreed though. “You’re not ‘nearly 40′, Suse, you’re 35. And besides, it’s just a cup of coffee, no one is saying you have to start a family with him!” (Although Nancy secretly would LOVE to have more grandchildren 😉 )it's just coffee

Susie then decided to go to her favourite thinking spot by the waterfalls to think things over and to draw.

Screenshot-51

Yes, he’s young… He’s also cute… But he’s SO young… It is only coffee though…
And so, after a lot of thinking, Susie decided to send Luke a text saying she would meet him later that afternoon for some coffee… A bit scary, but hey, it’s just coffee…

Screenshot-54

Luke was delighted to see her!

Screenshot-57

He was also very happy with the gift she brought him; a drawing of his horse Spider.

Screenshot-60

And so, Susie and Luke had their coffee.

Screenshot-63

Luke… You’re staring…

Screenshot-64

You’re staring Luke…

Screenshot-66

You’re still staring Luke… *sigh*

Screenshot-69

Rebecca

A week after her birthday, Rebecca put on her special sunday dress. Her parents had told her she would meet Ben today, the boy her parents felt was a “suitable match”. Rebecca was very scared. She never felt comfortable around strangers and she felt especially uncomfortable around boys, but even her mother said Ben was nice, so maybe it wouldn’t be so bad…

The first person she met was Ben’s dad Jeremiah.

Screenshot-90

And there was Ben. Well, he had a nice smile, at least…

Screenshot-92

Ben was very talkative, while Rebecca still felt very nervous.

Screenshot-94

Ben had planned to spend some time alone with Rebecca as well and took her out for a picnic.Beccas picnic

He even arranged for them to take a boattrip. Awww…. Rebecca was starting to feel quite comfortable with this boy…

Screenshot-100

Sadie’s driving lesson

In Honeycomb Valley, the age to start driving lessons is 17. Though some teens wait longer, most are eager to start. This was certainly true for Sadie. So, she headed to Jake’s driving school to have her first lesson. Scary, but good scary!

Screenshot-101

She turned out to be a natural!

Screenshot-104

Luke

Luke needed a heart to heart with one of the horses. It turned out Raven was willing to listen.
“So, you see, I really like her. Really, REALLY like her. Do you think I should just ask her out? But I’m not sure she’s interested… You know what, you’re right, I’ll just do it!”

Screenshot-105

And so he did. And much to his surprise (and mine), she said yes!
Well, actually, she said yes, because her mother AND sister had told her she could always go on one measly date. At least she would have a fun night out, right?
He had bought her flowers, that was a good start…

Screenshot-108

But the next part of the date was bowling. Now, don’t get me wrong, bowling can be great fun, but for Susie the fact that Luke had chosen to take her bowling on a date, proved he was still so very young…bowling

Much to her surprise, Luke then took her to a building where he told her they had to use the lift… For a moment, Susie felt scared, he wasn’t going to hurt her, was he…? But she didn’t think he would, Luke was, after all, a nice guy.

Screenshot-114

No, he wasn’t going to hurt her. Instead, she was pleasantly surprised to find he had arranged for a champagne picnic on the roof overlooking Bumblebee Quarter! Now, THIS was a grown up date…

Screenshot-115

Luke then asked Susie to watch the stars with him…

Screenshot-117

Aww, he’s just such a cutie…stars

He had even brought his guitar to serenade her… *swoon*. (It was actually some country folk song, but we’ll pretend it was a romantic ballad, shall we… Sims…)

Screenshot-125

Then… Luke gathered all his nerves and told Susie how he had been having feelings for her pretty much since the day they met… And while he was on a roll anyway, he even dared to kiss her!

Screenshot-128

Susie was left stunned for a moment and then told Luke she had to go… Leaving him alone on the rooftop, full of doubt…
